  • Strong acids

Description
Millable Polyurethane are distinguished into two types: polyester urethane (AU)  and polyesther urethane (EU).
Millable polyurethane offers superior seal performance in hydraulic situations, where high pressure, shock load, or abrasive contamination is anticipated. It provides outstanding resistance to abrasion and tear and has the highest available tensile strength among all elastomers while providing good elongation
characteristics.

Application Advantages

  • Excellent strength and abrasion resistance

  • Good resistance to petroleum oils

  • Good weather resistance

Limitations

  • Unless specifically compounded, at elevated temperatures millable
polyurethane begins to soften, losing its physical strength and chemical
    resistance advantages over other polymers.

  • Certain types of AU are sensitive to water and humidity and could be easily
hydrolyzed. EU offers better resistance to water and humidity.
